In operations since 1970s, Thal’s Papersack business is a pioneering multi-ply manufacturing unit in Pakistan.

With an annual production capacity of 150 million sacks at two strategic locations, Hub (Balochistan) and Gadoon (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), and being in close proximity to the local cement industry as well as the international markets through the ports of Karachi, the papersack business enjoys market leadership. Due to its strengths, the business is able to meet the requirements of the local and export customers in the shortest lead times.

The business fulfills the packaging requirements of various industries like cement, chemicals, and dyes, bonding adhesives, industrial salt, calcium, gypsum, carbon black, milk powder and guar gum amongst others.

The Papersack unit has entrenched itself as a market leader in Pakistan and has also started to scale international horizons by exploring international markets. Currently, exports to the Middle East and Europe have commenced while further avenues of export are also being pursued.

Sack Kraft Paper, being the primary raw material for Multi-Ply Paper sacks, is imported from global suppliers located in Scandinavian countries, Australia and North America, whilst new sources are developed as an ongoing process to remain competitive.
